DID YOU KNOW? After 8 years in the majors, players earn their “Gold Card” — a pass that gets them and one guest into ANY regular season game FOR LIFE ⚾️
How It Works: The holder just walks up to the box office, shows their card, and is given the best two tickets available in the stadium.
Once earned, the pass remains valid for the holder’s LIFETIME. Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich, who’s been in the league since 2013, recently talked about the benefits of the card on the “Pardon My Take” podcast. However, he also admitted he has yet to use it… as he’s still playing 162 games a year!

The only exceptions: The card doesn’t work for postseason tickets or the All-Star Game. And the holder must be present — no transfers allowed ❌
Occasionally, the league grants non-players a card…
Charles Lindbergh got his “Gold Card” after crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 1927 — while 24 astronauts got passes in 1965!
The MLB has also given cards as a symbol of gratitude to returning POWs from Vietnam and the 52 Americans held during the Iranian hostage crisis.
