Remember all those things Trump promised to get done on “day one”? 100 days in, they’re still unfulfilled, although the president will try to tell you otherwise.
So we decided to debunk just a few of his latest lies…
❌ LIE #1: “Gas had dropped to $1.98 in a couple of states.”
✅ FACT: The national average for gas is more than $3/gallon and the cheapest price is a little more than $2 at ONE gas station in Texas.
❌ LIE #2: “We’ve completed the largest deportation of undocumented migrants in American history.”
✅ FACT: The nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute said Trump is on pace to deport 500,000 people this year, compared with the 685,000 deported in 2024, when Joe Biden was president.
❌ LIE #3: “We’ve constrained inflation and enriched Americans through trade-war-inducing tariffs.”
✅ FACT: Consumer price index data shows that a trip to the grocery store is 8% more expensive than it was 12 months ago.
And those are just the things Trump promised. During the campaign, he also swore he had “nothing to do with Project 2025” — although, surprisingly, he’s gotten a lot of that damaging agenda done. Click here to track that progress.
