Good morning!

Ellie here. Last week, I mentioned how much I enjoy playing cards, and I asked to hear about the card games you all enjoy. Here’s what you said:

“I love to play euchre and cribbage but when we get together with family and have more people than can play those games we usually turn to ‘Oh Hell.’ If we have more people than can play with one deck, we use two decks.” — Susan D.

“We visited Adams county and learned a new game from Arkansas called SWIPE. It took 5 decks of cards. They were all used over the time to end the game. The one with the lowest score wins.” — Margo H.

“Learn to play pinochle. You’ll find it addictive!” — Mike R.

Thank you to everyone who shared their favorites! Now I have some new card games I definitely need to try.

Over the weekend, my family and I played a lot of cards. Specifically golf, cribbage, and idiot. If you haven’t tried any of these games, I highly recommend them.

A former Milwaukee prosecutor is now a Catholic sister, leading the nation’s largest association of Catholic religious women.

On Aug. 14, Sister Debra Sciano became the president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, representing about two-thirds of all 35,000 Catholic sisters in the US.

State Senate candidate didn’t just claim tax credits in two states, she also voted in both

Republican candidate for Wisconsin state Senate, Michele Magadance Skinner, voted in the two states earlier this decade.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel found that she voted absentee in Wisconsin for the Nov. 3, 2020 election and 15 days later registered to vote in Georgia for a Jan. 2021 US Senate runoff election.
