📍 The Border Grill and Cantina, Lewis
“This Mexican influenced eatery has history going back to the 1950s. Originally built on the eastern shore of Clam Lake in Siren, WI, it was a Mexican restaurant and deer farm known then as Little Mexico. The deer farm was discontinued and it was expanded in the mid-1980’s, and even hosted a fiddle contest, and legendary Super Bowl parties. The menu has stayed consistent, and features generous servings. It disappeared from Siren post-Covid, but reopened a couple years ago in downtown Lewis.” — Willian J.

“The menu is huge, with so many great choices for either Mexican or American cuisine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Portions are enough to take something home for the next day and the waitresses are so friendly.” — Anne D.

“We love Mexican food and have tried many other restaurants, but we keep coming back to Jalapeno Loco; we have been customers for years. Their tortilla soup is to die for! The tostadas de tinga de pollo is a family favorite, as are the fajitas. The El Gran Señor meal is big enough for 2 meals. And the margaritas? Superb and will add a sparkle to your meal.
