Ellie here. Yesterday, I asked for some of your favorite concerts you’ve been to, and I got some great responses! Here’s what you said:
“Queen at the Dane Cty. Colosseum in 1978, on the Jazz album tour. Nobody better than Freddie Mercury back then!” — Leo and Maria P.
“105th Harley Davidson Celebration at Milwaukee Lakefront. Springsteen and the E Street Band. Hands down best and he went on forever to make all international bikers happy as well.” — Pam J.
“Its a 3-way tie. Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones.” — Karen S.
“If I remember the years correctly, in 1972 & 1974, my Mom, sister & I saw Elvis here in Milwaukee! THE most dynamic performance & performer!! Not one single singer can hold a candle to him today!!“ — Diane H.
Thanks for sharing! These sound like some amazing concerts I wish I’d seen.
For today’s Locals Love, we’ll look at some of the best patio restaurants to check out with the warmer weather. Next week, in keeping with the concert theme, I want to hear about your favorite concert venues across our state. Send in your favorites, and tell me why, to have them featured.

With warmer weather on the horizon, it’s time to get ready for patio season. Here are some Wisconsin restaurants to check out if you want to dine with a view:
📍Saffron, Milwaukee
If you like Indian food from a little takeout joint in a nearby strip mall, you’ll love Saffron, located along the Milwaukee River in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward. You can find exciting, modern, and elevated Indian cuisine on their menu, like truffle naan, lobster and scallop moilee, and goat mirch masala.
📍Blue Bayou Inn, Manitowish Waters
Once you leave Louisiana, finding authentic and tasty food from the bayou can be difficult. Who would think you could find amazing etouffee, blackened fish, alligator bites, and jambalaya way up north in Wisconsin? Blue Bayou Inn’s menu will satisfy your craving for all your favorite Cajun and Creole favorites.
📍The Waterfront Restaurant & Tavern, LaCrosse
The Waterfront Restaurant & Tavern in La Crosse features a gorgeous dining room with views of the Mississippi River. If you want the full experience of enjoying the scenery, you need to head out to the patio, along the banks of the Mississippi.
📍Old Post Office Restaurant, Ephraim
When you are exploring Door County, you need to visit the Old Post Office Restaurant, overlooking Eagle Harbor in Ephraim. You will find satisfying breakfast options like omelets, pancakes, and Belgian waffles, but the real treat is dinner. The Old Post Office Restaurant does one thing for dinner, and they do it well: a fish boil.
Next week, I want to hear about your favorite concert venues. Hit reply to have your pick featured.

More than 80 rallies and protests took place across Wisconsin on No Kings Day this past Saturday, with thousands of demonstrators making their voices heard. Now the attention turns towards what’s next.
Building on this momentum requires continued collective action to protect our democracy and hold our leaders accountable. We do that by staying informed, voting in elections, and engaging in local organizing and advocacy efforts. We keep moving forward, one action at a time.
That’s why each week we bring you the “Do Something” calendar, a roundup of Wisconsin protests, political events, advocacy opportunities, and ways to take action across the state.
This week’s roundup focuses on the April 7 spring election, with debate watch parties, canvass and phonebanking opportunities, and chances to meet the candidates.

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team is heading to Las Vegas and coach Mike Hastings wouldn’t mind some company.
“You know what?,” he said Tuesday. “There’s a lot of rooms in Vegas, so if you can find your way there, you can get a place to lay your head.”
Consider that an open invitation for the UW faithful to join the Badgers at the Frozen Four. Wisconsin makes its first appearance in 16 years April 9 when it faces North Dakota in a semifinal game at T-Mobile Arena.
