Good morning, Wisconsin!

Ellie here. As we all know by now, last week was Wisconsin’s primary election, and there was a lot to watch. Here’s a quick recap of some major things that happened.

First and foremost, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly defeated Rep. Francesca Hong for the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin governor. He will face Republican US Rep. Tom Tiffany in the Nov. 3 general election.

In the race for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, there will be a rematch between Democratic candidate Rebecca Cooke and Republican US Rep. Derrick Van Orden.

Michael Alfonso won a close race to become the Republican nominee in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District, where he’ll face Democratic candidate and former state Rep. Fred Clark.
