Ellie here. I hope everyone’s having a great week so far.

As many of you know, Flock cameras have been a large topic of conversation, especially in Wisconsin.

In August, a former Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office deputy faced two felony counts after he tracked the whereabouts of an ex-girlfriend multiple times in the Flock camera network.

And this isn’t the first case of Flock camera misuse in our state or around the country. Earlier this month, the City of Sheboygan announced they would be canceling their Flock contract, after Flock Safety offered to sell the city five years worth of speed and traffic data—something Sheboygan mayor said Flock never told them the cameras were tracking.

Now, more Wisconsin communities, including Stevens Point, Winnebago County, Fond du Lac County, Racine, Oconomowoc, Sun Prairie, and Waukesha, are moving away from the use of Flock cameras.
