Despite promises to work together with Democrats on helping local election clerks, Republican leaders in the Wisconsin Legislature have continued to block a bill that would let local clerks begin processing (not counting) absentee ballots on the Monday before an election — knowing their inaction only helps feed conspiracy theories about results coming in late at night.
