Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski is running for lieutenant governor in November, so Democratic Milwaukee Common Council member JoCasta Zamarripa is hoping to succeed her. Zamarripa says the biggest difference between herself and Republican candidate Jay Schroeder is that she wants to protect state elections while Schroeder is on record wanting to abolish the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission and allow a partisan politician like himself to control how elections would be run in our state.
