Ellie here. What a weekend for Wisconsin sports!
On Saturday, we had two great games. To start the day, the Wisconsin Badgers took down the Michigan State Spartans in a 31-3 win. I love to see Wisconsin football back in action.
Then, later in the day, the Milwaukee Brewers made their postseason debut in game 1 of the National League Division Series. They beat the San Diego Padres 3-2.
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers had a 17-14 win (that was too close for comfort) against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Also on Sunday, the No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team took down rivals No. 20 Minnesota Gophers, winning three out of four sets.
And finally, later that day, the Brewers had an exciting Jackson Chourio walk-off, bringing the team to a 4-3 win, and leading the series 2-0.
I was at the game, and it was absolutely amazing. Go Brewers!
The team will go on the play the Padres in Game 3 tonight at 8:30 p.m. in San Diego. Let’s hope for a series sweep!
Did you do anything fun this weekend for one of the many sporting events Wisconsin teams had? Let me know!
