🥬 Wisconsin is seeing a rise in cyclosporiasis, with at least 43 confirmed cases. The stomach bug causes explosive diarrhea and is caused by a parasite often found on lettuce, pre-packaged salads, and raspberries. (WISN-12)

🕰 On Tuesday, the House passed a bill backed by President Donald Trump to make daylight saving time permanent. The bill is now headed to the Senate. (NBC News)

🔥 Wisconsin is under an air quality advisory as wildfire smoke sweeps across the state. Wisconsinites are advised to limit their outdoor activity time while the advisory is in effect. (Patch)

One of my favorite summer activities is going to a local farmers market. Whether it’s fresh produce, handmade jewelry, or anything in between, there’s something for everyone.

While I was living in Madison, the Dane County farmers market was a Saturday morning staple. These are some farmers markets across our state that you won’t want to miss! 

After running out of snacks halfway through, the crew’s only food on the boat was freeze-dried meals cooked with a jet-boil. (USA Today via Reuters Connect)
