John Kroll, a member of the Marathon County Board, is the Democratic candidate looking to unseat Republican Rep. Patrick Snyder in the heavily watched 85th Assembly District in and around Wausau. The race is one of more than 100 contested elections in the Wisconsin Senate and Assembly in this fall’s election. Democrats are looking to flip the handful of seats needed for them to control one or both houses of the Legislature for the first time in 16 years.
