RESPECT AND CELEBRATION OF HERITAGE 🎉
The hallways of Northside Elementary/Coulee Montessori in La Crosse turned into a moving river of color as Hmong students, families, and staff celebrated the Hmong New Year.
There was bright embroidery and gentle rhythms of traditional Hmong music as classmates lined the halls to cheer, clap, and high-five their friends in the colorful parade.
District leaders say, “It wasn’t just a walk through the school. It was a proud sharing of heritage—a reminder that keeping traditions alive strengthens the bonds that connect us all. What a joyful way to honor culture, community, and the spirit of a new year.”
