People are having a lot of emotions when seeing their electricity bills this year.
Many customers say their bills have doubled, with some Wisconsin residents reporting charges of more than $1,000, causing a big strain on the household budget.
Democrats in the US House of Representatives say they have a solution. It’s the Energy Bills Relief Act. Congressman Mark Pocan of Black Earth is one of the co-sponsors of the proposal.
The bill aims to reduce Wisconsin utility bills by restoring clean energy tax credits, funding home energy efficiency improvements, and lowering energy production costs.
