Ellie here. Happy Friday!
Yesterday was Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers, where they won 14-2 against the Chicago White Sox. The series will continue through Saturday and Sunday.
I asked to hear about your favorite parts of Brewers games, and this is what you had to say:
⚾ “My favorite part of Brewer games is getting together with friends and tailgating.” — Chris K.
⚾ “The sausage races. The fans are great! Love the overall experience.” — Jane G.
⚾ “Sausage race, of course!” — Nancy D.
I think the sausage race is definitely one of my favorite parts, too. Thanks for sharing!
Today, we’ll take a look at some of the ways you can take action this weekend, including No Kings rallies across our state.
We’ve also got another Locals Love, where we take a look at your favorite walking, running, hiking, and biking trails across the state. Next week, I want to hear about your favorite restaurant patios. Send in your favorites, and tell me why to have them featured!

No Kings protest in Wisconsin. (Salina Heller/UpNorthNews)
|
By Abigail Deatrick
Organizers are planning a third round of “No Kings” demonstrations nationwide on Saturday, March 28, to advocate for democratic values and against the authoritarianism they see in the actions of President Donald Trump.
“The checks and balances that have historically held our elected officials accountable have seemingly become meaningless, and this is unconstitutional,” said Sinceree Dixon with the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin. “The No Kings protests are a demonstration of solidarity for everyone in this country to come together on March 28th to make their voices heard. We encourage everyone to make a commitment to vote, to be involved not only for No Kings, but to find ways to stay actively engaged every day.”
More than 75 protests, marches, and rallies are planned throughout Wisconsin. Find an event near you.
