The Milwaukee Brewers will play in the Fall Classic after sweeping the two-time reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
In the process, they became the first team in MLB history to sweep an opponent in the playoffs after being swept by that same opponent the previous year.
The Brewers, who had an MLB-best 103 wins during the regular season, will now have a week off before the start of the World Series on Oct. 23. The Brewers are seeking their first World Series championship.
They’ll face the winner of the American League Championship Series, the Tampa Bay Rays.
