November 25, 2025

Because the Thanksgiving Day game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions is a big deal, it’s getting big deal halftime entertainment.

Jack White, a Detroit native and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will headline the halftime show, produced by Eminem and his manager. White is a 12-time Grammy recipient and was inducted as a member of The White Stripes into the hall of fame earlier in November.

The Lions will support a donation-based initiative with Feeding America that will be featured throughout the game, which is scheduled to begin at noon CT, Nov. 27, on Fox.

Gospel musician CeCe Winans will perform the national anthem.

How have the Packers and Lions done on Thanksgiving?

Detroit will mark its 86th annual Thanksgiving Day Classic. The Lions are 38-45-2 on Thanksgiving.

The Packers are 16-20-2 since the first turkey-day game in 1924 and 9-12-1 against the Lions. This will be their third consecutive Thanksgiving game. In 2024, the Packers defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-17 at Lambeau Field, one of only two Thanksgiving games ever played in Green Bay, and in 2023 they upset the Lions 29-22 at Ford Field.

Lions will wear throwback uniforms for Packers game

As they did for that 2023 game, the Lions announced they’ll wear throwback uniforms. The look features a silver helmet with no logo, the team’s classic blue jerseys with silver numbers and silver pants. The Lions haven’t worn the throwback uniform since losing to the Packers in 2023.

Chilly outside, but good football weather in Ford Field

The National Weather Service said it will be mostly cloudy and breezy in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, but inside the domed Ford Field, the weather will be delightful. The outside temperature will be around 36 degrees.

Where is Detroit’s Ford Field?

Ford Field is in downtown Detroit, 21 miles northeast of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. It is 500 miles from Lambeau Field, an eight- to nine-hour drive.

How does Ford Field rank among NFL venues?

Ford Field was ranked 10th among the NFL’s 30 stadiums by USA TODAY and 14th by Sports Illustrated.

“By far, Ford Field’s biggest asset is its roof. … Beyond that, the food, particularly Slows Bar BQ, is fantastic, and the Bloody Marys are good and spicy. Plus, the ultra-dedicated fans inside remain consistently rowdy, and when [a] Detroit touchdown is scored, the energy inside feels like it could blow that precious roof off,” Michelle Martinelli wrote for USA TODAY.

“Ford Field looks even better on television when it’s paired with your first plate of food during the afternoon Thanksgiving game” was Sports Illustrated’s take.

How can I watch the games on Thanksgiving Day?

The Packers-Lions game will be the first of three NFL games on Thanksgiving Day. Kicking off at noon CT, the game will be televised by Fox. The others are Kansas City Chiefs at Dallas Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on CBS and Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens at 7:20 p.m. on NBC.

In addition, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Chicago Bears at 2 p.m. on Nov. 28, Black Friday, on Prime Video.

Announcers for the Packers-Lions game will be Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady in the booth, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi on the sidelines.

How can I stream Packers vs Lions on Thursday?

The game can be streamed on the Fox Sports app or the Fox One app. Also, Fubo has a free trial for new subscribers.

Here’s where to listen to the game on radio

Packers games can be heard on the Packers Radio Network, which includes 54 stations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Packers flagship station is 95.7-FM WRIT.

The radio broadcast will be streamed at Packers.com. The Packers mobile app will stream the radio broadcast within the Packers‘ home market, per NFL broadcast restrictions. Fans within the Packers‘ local home marketing area can listen the game on Packers.com.

Detroit is the 13th largest NFL market, Green Bay the smallest

The Detroit metro area is the 13th largest in the United States with 4.4 million people, compared to Green Bay’s 328,268. Green Bay’s metro area, which includes Brown, Oconto and Kewaunee counties, is the smallest in the NFL.
