VIDEO: Why Did So Many People Want To Be At The Harris-Wall Rally in Eau Claire?

August 19, 2024

From proud “childless cat ladies” to people who “just had to be there,” the 12,000 attendees to this week’s Harris-Walz rally in Eau Claire represented a wide spectrum of Wisconsin voters—and some from other states, too.

We talked to people who were visiting friends in Wisconsin and jumped at the chance to be at the rally. Others parked their cars on town roads and walked two miles so they wouldn’t miss the program while stuck in traffic. All of them were enthusiastic to support Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democrats’ new ticket for November’s presidential faceoff with former President Donald Trump.
