Western Wisconsin taxpayers took out their frustrations Wednesday at a data center sales tax exemption that could end up with an unexpected $2 billion price tag, specifically calling out a local legislator for the high-dollar deal. It was approved in the 2023 state budget, based on a proposal by Rep. Shannon Zimmerman (R-River Falls).
