March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day to celebrate trans lives while also recognizing the ongoing challenges, discrimination, and inequality many still face. Communities across Wisconsin are coming together to honor and uplift trans voices.

Here’s our roundup of Transgender Day of Visibility events and actions in Wisconsin:

Tuesday (March 31) 

OutReach LGBTQ Community Center: “Cozy Day In,” (Madison, 12-6 p.m.)
Enjoy a “cozy day in” featuring movies, snacks, and crafts.

Diverse & Resilient: Gallery, (Milwaukee, 3-6 p.m.)
Attend the resource fair and view the TDOV gallery. 

PFLAG Resource Center Chequamegon Bay: Rally and Gathering, (Ashland, 4:30 p.m.)
Rally to show support for the trans and non-binary community, followed by a gathering with community and snacks.

The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection and Planned Parenthood Western Wisconsin: Celebration, (La Crosse, 6:30-8 p.m.)
Celebration with food, conversation, and resources. Planned Parenthood will have staff on site to answer questions and schedule appointments. 

Human Rights Campaign in Wisconsin: Storytelling Training, (Virtual, 7-8 p.m.)
This session will explore why storytelling matters, which stories need to be told, and how to share them in ways that progress equality for LGBTQ+ communities.
