Here’s your ‘Do Something!’ calendar for March 20-26

Your weekly guide to Wisconsin political events, protests, advocacy opportunities, and ways to take action statewide–Friday, March 20 through Thursday, March 26.

This week: Prepare for the upcoming No Kings National Day of Action on March 28 with sign-making parties and Know Your Rights trainings. 

Friday (March 20)

No Kings: We Keep Us Safe: No Kings Safety Marshal Training, (Virtual, 2-3 p.m.)
A training for No Kings safety marshals nationwide, overviewing the core skills needed to support safe, grounded, lawful, and impactful nonviolent actions.

WisDems: No Kings Sign Making, (Green Bay, 3-8 p.m.)
Make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28. Materials will be provided.

Saturday (March 21)

Indivisible Chippewa Valley: Art-ivism Event for NK3, (Eau Claire, 12-4 p.m.)
Make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28. Materials will be provided.

Monday (March 23)

No Kings: Know Your Rights: Protest Rights and Safety Practices, (Virtual, 4-6 p.m.)
A training led by the ACLU overviewing the Constitutional right to peacefully protest and best practices when attending protests, such as the No Kings National Day of Action on March 28.

WisDems: Waukesha County Friendbank and Sign Making, (Waukesha, 6-8 p.m.)
Make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28.

Indivisible-Brown County: Marshal Training for the March 28 No Kings Events, (Green Bay, 6-8 p.m.)
A training for those wanting to be marshals during the No Kings National Day of Action on March 28. Marshals play a key role in keeping large gatherings safe, organized, and welcoming.

Wednesday (March 25)

WisDems: No Kings Sign Making, (Green Bay, 1-5 p.m.)
Make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28. Materials will be provided.

WisDems: Madison Teal Team NO KINGS Sign-making Event & Debate Watch Party, (Madison, 6:45 – 8:45 pm)
Watch the State Supreme Court debate and make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28. Some materials will be provided.

Thursday (March 26)

Fitchburg Progress: The Signs are Good! Let’s Make Some More!, (Fitchburg, 4:15-7:30 p.m.)
Make “No Kings” protest signs ahead of the National Day of Action on March 28. Materials will be provided.
