The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and the Green Bay Packers Foundation came together for the ninth straight year to give back to local nonprofits with the Give BIG Green Bay fundraising event.
Give BIG Green Bay is an annual 24-hour event that encourages community members and organizations to support participating nonprofits. This year’s event took place from Feb. 25-26.

This year, 50 nonprofits serving communities across Brown County were selected as recipients. According to the Green Bay Packers Foundation, these organizations represent 11 areas of Brown County and vary in size and tenure. Ten of the nonprofits are first-time participants, and 15 returned for the second time.
The event inspired a record 5,954 donors to contribute 11,342 gifts in support of their work.Since it launched, Give BIG Green Bay has raised more than $20 million for 164 local nonprofits.
“Give BIG Green Bay amplifies the critical work of our nonprofits by sharing their powerful stories and celebrating the power of local giving,” said Dennis Buehler, president and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. “We’re proud that this day stands out among other giving days. Over the last eight years, nonprofits participating in Give BIG Green Bay raised on average two to three times more than those participating in the five largest giving day events across the country.”
Thanks to a $250,000 impact grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation and contributions from other donors, over $550,000 in matching funds will be distributed to all participating organizations.
“We continue to be amazed by the generosity and enthusiasm our community brings to this event,” said Buehler. “The energy around Give BIG Green Bay lasts far beyond a single day, fueling year‑round collaboration and momentum. We’re proud to help amplify that spirit and connect people with the causes that make this community so special.”
