An estimated 70,000 college students go to school in Milwaukee, and most are unaware that their student ID can unlock special discounts and deals at local establishments. Here are 12 places around the city where you can save big as a student.
A cozy restaurant collective nestled on Milwaukee’s lower east side, Crossroads offers 15% off purchases on Thursdays with a valid student ID.
Students are eligible for $19 admission to the famous hands-on science museum with a valid ID ($6 off the adult price). Additionally, there’s a $1 discount on all tickets purchased online.
Preserving the history of one of Milwaukee’s most iconic companies, admission to Harley-Davidson’s flagship museum is $20 with a valid student ID ($4 off the adult ticket price).
Discounted $24 student tickets are available for Marcus Performing Arts Center shows, either in-person at the box office or online with code ‘STUDENT.’ All tickets will be held at will-call and can be picked up with a valid student ID.
Milwaukee’s hometown hockey team offers $13 admission on Friday games for high school and college students when purchased with a valid student email address. All tickets also include a voucher for a free slice at Ian’s Pizza.
At the famous Milwaukee Art Museum, students can enjoy $20 admission ($7 off the adult ticket price). Admission is always free for Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and UWM Peck School of the Arts students. A $40 membership is available ($35 off adult price), which guarantees free admission for a full year.
For a classy outing after a night of studying, tickets to Milwaukee Ballet performances are available day-of for $25 at the theater’s box office, with a valid student ID.
A perfect after-school activity, tickets for Brewers home games on Mondays through Fridays are only $9 for students–it’s worth noting that student specials are subject to change from season to season.
Milwaukee’s favorite basketball team offers a student rush program, which includes discounts on game tickets and deals on concessions. Students can sign up to receive notice for when offers go live on gamedays.
Milwaukee’s massive natural history museum offers $21 admission for students ($4 off adult ticket prices). Yearly memberships are available for $35, and must be purchased in-person with a valid student ID.
The MSO’s student rush program offers $25 tickets on the day of regular-season Classics, Pops, and Film With Orchestra concerts. They must be purchased in-person with a valid student ID at the Bradley Symphony Center box office. Students are also eligible for VIP passes, which are $60 at the box office and guarantee admission for an entire season, along with an extra 20% off tickets for special performances.
At these two historic cinemas on Milwaukee’s East Side, students can score $2 off movie tickets with a valid university ID.
The legendary Milwaukee rock club offers $5 off concert tickets purchased at their box office on the day prior to the show–the offer is only available for select performances.
