Hosting for Thanksgiving isn’t just about cooking and serving. You also need to clean the house, handle communications between guests, and set the table. What if you ordered all of the food from a local business, caterer, or farm and took cooking off your plate? Here are some options throughout Wisconsin.

A $50 deposit is required for this farm’s pastured turkeys (11 pounds to 18.5 pounds), which cost $6.50 per pound (heritage birds are $8 per pound). Order online and pick up at the farm on Nov. 13 between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. or Nov. 14 between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. or 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Green Bay

Waseda Farms Market, De Pere

Connected to Waseda Farms in Baileys Harbor, Door County, this market sells certified organic turkeys ($77.95-$14.95, depending on size) and is convenient to Green Bay. You can order online or have your turkeys shipped.

Kenosha

Old Glory Farm, Elkhorn

This farm’s all-natural, pasture-raised chickens (both white and bronze breasted, either fresh or frozen) are available online ($5.49 per pound) and can be picked up at the farm on Nov. 22 or Nov. 27.

Madison

Bryant Family Farms, Mineral Point

For Thanksgiving, the farm is offering turkeys with a $50 deposit and the remaining balance due at $6.50 per pound. Order online for turkeys between eight and 24 pounds. Turkeys can be picked up Nov. 18 in Madison.

Milwaukee Area

Stone Bank Farm Market, Oconomowoc

Order by Nov. 27 for 10 to 20-pound turkeys ($6.25 per pound) raised by a fourth-generation Minnesota farmer specializing in certified organic turkeys. Pick up on Nov. 27 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 

Racine

Two Creek Farms, Union Grove

This Franksville farm’s storefront opened in 2022 and is where online orders can be picked up. Turkeys are priced at $4.29 per pound and weigh anywhere from eight pounds to 25 pounds. Orders can also be picked up at farmers markets in Waukesha (Nov. 16), Kenosha (Nov. 23), and Wauwatosa (Nov. 23).

Turkeys are $2.49-$5.49 a pound, and sides are $4.99 a pound. Order before Nov. 24 and pick up 24 hours later between Nov. 14 and Nov. 28,

This restaurant’s Turkey & Fixin’s Platter ($26.99 per person) includes carved, roasted turkey, sausage bread stuffing, Tiff’s Award-Winning Green Bean Casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, and apple and pumpkin pie squares. Order online by Nov. 25.

Kenosha

Smokie Boyz BBQ

Texas-style barbecue means smoked turkey ($90, feeds 8-10 people) for Thanksgiving along with a pineapple bake and various vegetable sides ($32-$85, feeds 10-40, depending on the dish), like Texas-style beans, cornbread, “mac & cheesy” and slaw.
