Former state Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler has a new book out that explains how he helped lead Wisconsin out of a period of right-wing dominance and the lessons that can be applied nationwide. Wikler says voters understand a lot of the political system is rigged against them, but they have to deal with short-term needs like wages and healthcare. Wikler says when progressive leaders prove they’re able to take bold action on today’s challenges, voters will then trust them to make long-term fixes that strengthen our democracy.
