Wisconsin Rep. Gwen Moore introduced an amendment that would allow the IRS to revoke the tax-exempt status of religious organizations that promote child marriage. Republicans voted it down before advancing a bill designed to protect religious organizations from losing tax-exempt status over beliefs or practices concerning marriage, sexuality or gender identity.
