Marty Jed is retired and was previously a tax accountant, as well as the owner of Tax Prep Northwest, so it was easy for him to understand how the IRS regulations for the JCJA (2017 Jobs Cuts & Jobs Act) penalize those with dependent children and those who itemize on Schedule A. He was also educated, certified, and involved in the Abatement of Hazardous Materials, making the issue of governors Regulating Forever Chemicals very important to him. As a State Delegate, he voted on more than 400 political party platform goals during the year he served, as mentioned in the OP-ED.
