🇺🇸 DEEP DIVE: Why Do We Still Celebrate Columbus Day in Any Form?

The president used his preferred method of communication, Truth Social, to declare, “I’m bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes.”

He added, “the Democrats did everything possible to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all of the Italians that love him so much.”

Columbus and his men enslaved and brutalized Native Americans — forcing them into labor, shipping them to Spain for sale, and killing many, either on purpose or by exposing them to European diseases.
